FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before requesting a quote.

What is third-party vs comprehensive insurance?

Third-party insurance is legally mandatory in India and covers injury or damage to others. Comprehensive insurance also covers damage to your own vehicle from accidents, theft, fire and natural calamities.

How does Public Sewa help with the policy?

We are an assisted platform. Once you submit your vehicle and contact details, our team calls you with accurate quotes and helps you buy through authorised insurance partners.

What documents do I need?

A quote needs only your vehicle details. To issue the policy we verify your Aadhaar, PAN and the vehicle RC (and the previous policy if you are renewing). You upload them securely from your account, and only you and our verification staff can see them.

How do I get my policy?

Once your documents are approved, our team uploads the policy PDF to your account. Sign in and download it from My Requests or My Policies.

Can I get a reminder before my policy expires?

Yes. Share your registration number and mobile number on the Renewals page and we will remind you before your renewal date.

Do you charge for the quote?

No. Requesting a quote is free. The premium is set by the insurer and shared with you before you decide.

How do I track my request?

Use the Lead ID shown after you submit the form together with your mobile number on the Track Lead page, or create a free account to see all your requests and policies.
